Greetings Dalians and non-Dalians,
As a little girl I always wished that the fictional Hogwarts actually existed and that I was a student there. And I am lucky enough to study at the closest reality to Hogwarts, The Daly College! All of you who have read the fourth part of the Harry Potter series know how excited the student at Hogwarts were when they had three visiting schools come for the very interesting and highly competitive Goblet of Fire. Now imagine that scenario come alive on a much larger scale!
The Inter-Public School Conference comes to DC this time! More popular as the IPSC, The Daly College prepares to welcome 22 schools, 840 students and a lot of renowned judges on its campus to participate and evaluate over 30 competitions under the banners of the cultural and literary fest. As our very own boarders go home for the Dusshera break, their empty dorms are dusted and cleaned for the guests to use. For all pending homeworks and chores and for bunking classes, the IPSC has become a favorite and legitimate excuse! The CTDC is more crowded than ever! And there is a lot of excitement, spirit and anticipation as practices are in full swing! Students running hither and thither trying to juggle more than one task and teachers sweating in the autumn heat as they chase procrastinators form a strangely calming, happy and homely scene.
One doesn’t know yet what the results of the various competitions will be, but looking at the preparations we are making, a good time is a given! Watch this space for the daily updates of the 3-day conference!
